About Marcel
Marcel Hirscher dominated men's alpine skiing for the better part of a decade, winning a record eight consecutive World Cup overall titles between 2012 and 2019 and adding two Olympic gold medals at the 2018 Pyeongchang Games. He retired in 2019 as the sport's most decorated technical skier, only to shock the ski world in 2024 by announcing a comeback - this time racing for the Netherlands, his mother's home country, on skis from his own brand, Van Deer.
