Team Spirit defeated MOUZ 3–1 in the grand final of the BLAST Open Fall 2026 in Porto, securing their second straight BLAST Open title. The win arrived just two weeks after the organisation claimed a third Aegis of Champions in Dota 2, making history across two disciplines in a single month.
An undefeated march through Porto
Spirit swept Group A without dropping a map, beating DENDELE CS, G2 Esports, and FURIA to claim the top seed. They then dismissed reigning Major champions Team Falcons in the playoff semifinal. By the time they reached the grand final, they had won all five tournament matches and lost only a single map.
Ancient becomes the turning point
The final opened on Dust2 with an even first half locked at 6–6, before Spirit’s defence held MOUZ to just two second-half rounds for a 13–8 result. MOUZ fought back on Mirage, overturning an 8–4 deficit with a nine-round streak to level the series. That was their last push.
Spirit then seized full control on Ancient. A crushing 11–1 CT-side half left no doubt, and the map ended 13–3. The deciding Nuke followed the same pattern: an 8–4 first half that Spirit turned into a clean 13–6 close.
Revenge and a growing tally
The result avenged a grand-final loss to MOUZ at BLAST Bounty Summer 2026 in August. It also marked Spirit’s second S-Tier win in their last three tournaments, following the CS2 Esports World Cup 2026. sh1ro led the final with 70 kills and a 1.36 rating.
An organisation that now holds simultaneous crowns across two disciplines has built a quiet six-week run of dominance. The Porto trophy sits neatly alongside the Shanghai Aegis, and the calendar says the year is not yet done.
