Louis Hubert won the overall 2026 UCI Para-cycling Road World Cup title in the Men C3 category, sealing the crown with a double victory at the season finale in Abruzzo, Italy, at just nineteen years of age.
A clean sweep at the final hurdle
The young Frenchman won both the time trial and the road race at the Italian round, controlling the category from the opening kilometres. His two victories in Abruzzo extended a season record that already stood at three wins from the earlier stops in Chiang Mai and Gistel.
Five wins from six starts
Hubert finished the World Cup with five victories from six events, collecting 344 of a possible 360 points. The only blemish on his record came in the Belgian road race, where he placed third behind fellow Frenchman Thomas Peyroton-Dartet and Britain's Finlay Graham.
The dominance arrived one year after Hubert first announced himself on the world stage, taking a time-trial silver at the 2025 World Championships in Ronse. That ride, a mark of 30:14.89 behind Canada's Alexandre Hayward, hinted at the raw speed now on full display.

Hubert continues a remarkable production line from the Breton region of France, which has already delivered Dorian Foulon, Gatien Le Rousseau, Alexandre Léauté and Katell Alençon to the highest level of para-cycling. His emergence reinforces a programme built on depth and patient development.
With the 2028 Paralympic Games in Los Angeles still more than two years away, this World Cup season positions Hubert squarely among the contenders who will shape the C3 category. Attention now turns to the World Championships in Huntsville, Alabama, in September.
