Taylor Townsend and Katerina Siniakova won the 2026 US Open women's doubles final, completing the career Grand Slam as a team. They beat American wild cards Ashlyn Krueger and Robin Montgomery in Arthur Ashe Stadium. The score was 5-7, 6-0, 6-2.

Down a set to the wild cards, then a clean answer

The top seeds began tentatively, winning just two points across the first three games. They reset mid-set and took 12 straight points to pull level from 4-1 down. But Krueger and Montgomery held firm, saving two break points and then breaking back to steal the opening set as Siniakova double-faulted three times.

The pair replied with a near-flawless second set, dropping only seven points in 24 minutes. They struck 11 winners against two unforced errors to level the match.

The decider turned at 1-1, where Krueger held five game points on serve. Siniakova and Townsend broke through anyway and never trailed again. They saved five break points in the final game before closing out the title in 1 hour, 53 minutes.

A career Slam for two, and redemption in Queens for one

The win gave Siniakova her second career doubles Grand Slam, having earlier won all four majors with Barbora Krejcikova. For Townsend it was full-circle: she had lost the New York final in 2022 and 2024, and again last year to Dabrowski and Routliffe.

"It just means the world to me," Townsend told reporters afterwards. "This really means everything to me, not only just to be able to win the US Open but to be able to complete a career Slam."

A year after sipping the tournament cocktail in defeat, she stood on court in Queens with the title she had chased since childhood.
