Tilen Ceglar is the new European paragliding champion. Over nine tasks in the mountains above Krushevo, the Slovenian pilot flew the most complete championship in the field.
Nine tasks, one champion
Ceglar took the overall title ahead of Roger Aeschbacher of Switzerland and Alvaro Romero Camacho of Spain. Slovenia closed the week with the nations team title, too — individual and team gold at the same championship.
The long game
Cross-country paragliding rewards patience, nerve and reading the sky better than the pilot beside you. Across tasks from 68 to 104 kilometres, Ceglar read it best.
