BadmintonChouhan Ousts Top Seed to Reach US Open Quarterfinal
On 26 June 2026 at the BWF US Open, world No. 80 Rounak Chouhan (18) beat top seed and former world No. 6 Chou Tien Chen 21-17, 26-24 (49 min), saving four game points in the second game, to reach the quarterfinal. In round 1 (25 June) he had beaten former junior world silver medallist S. Sankar Muthusamy.
BadmintonYang Claims First BWF World Tour Title at US Open
On 28-29 June 2026 won the BWF US Open (Super 300, Fullerton), his first-ever BWF World Tour title, beating former world No.1 Kidambi Srikanth 21-15, 16-21, 21-9 after eliminating Rounak Chouhan in the semis.
BadmintonGunawan Becomes Hong Kong's First BWF Super 750 Champion
At the 2026 BWF China Masters in Shenzhen, Gunawan defeated Lee Cheuk Yiu 21-9, 21-16 in an all-Hong Kong final, becoming the first player from Hong Kong to win a BWF Super 750 title.
