Gen.G Esports won the 2026 LCK Season title on 13 September, beating Hanwha Life Esports 3-1 in the Grand Final at the KSPO Dome in Seoul. The result crowned the South Korean side as champions and named them the LCK's first seed for Worlds 2026.
Hanwha strike first, then Gen.G answer in four
Hanwha Life took Game 1 the hard way. A fight at the Baron pit turned when Bard saw the ultimates of Ruler's Lucian and Kiin's Rumble both down, opened, and won. Hanwha marched into the base and broke the Nexus after 38 minutes, with kills level at 13-13.
Gen.G steadied in Game 2. Chovy's Lissandra controlled the mid-game while a top-lane Varus, reprised from the upper-bracket final, exploded for a triple kill. Gen.G closed with a 24-5 kill lead in 30 minutes.
Game 3 belonged to Ruler. His Zeri, paired with Duro's Yuumi, proved too much, and he finished 11 kills, 1 death and 3 assists for 35.4K damage. Gen.G ended it in 26 minutes, then punished Hanwha's mistakes in Game 4 to seal the series.
A seventh title and eight straight finals
This is Gen.G's seventh LCK championship, and a second in a row. The win extends a run of eight consecutive LCK finals since Spring 2022, the deepest sustained streak the league has seen.
The path to the final showed the same control. Gen.G swept KT Rolster 3-0 and beat Hanwha 3-1 in the Upper Bracket Final, becoming the first team to book their place. Hanwha fell to the lower bracket, beat T1, and earned a rematch that ended the same way.
Park "Ruler" Jae-hyuk was named Finals MVP and received the LCK Golden Dew Necklace; his Zeri had not lost in the LCK since February 2022. The title also caps a strong window for the organisation, which took the PUBG Global Series 9 crown in Shanghai in August. Gen.G now head to Worlds 2026 as Korea's top seed, with Hanwha Life following as the second.
