Eugenia De Armas won the Open Women world title at the 2026 IWWF World Wakeboard Championships. The Argentine rider topped the podium at Lago del Salto in Rieti, Italy, ahead of South Korea's Hyun Jeong Shin and the Netherlands' Sanne Meijer.
A final decided under the Italian sun
The Open Women final closed a six-day event on the artificial lake north of Rome. De Armas built her winning pass on raleys, back rolls and heelside inverts in calm conditions. Italy's Alizée Piana and Alice Virag finished fourth and fifth, while the Open Men crown went to Australia's Sam Brown the same afternoon.

The victory gave De Armas her first IWWF world title in a deep field. Host Italy collected a record 5 medals, with 3 golds across junior and under-14 categories. The Open Women podium belonged to three nations, with the Argentine, South Korean and Dutch flags rising above the lake.
