At 21 and racing his first Tour, Pogacar erased a 57-second deficit on the penultimate-day time trial at La Planche des Belles Filles to claim overall victory on debut.

Pogacar captured his first Monument at Liege-Bastogne-Liege, a breakthrough win in one of cycling's oldest classics. He has since taken the race four times.

On his Giro d'Italia debut, Pogacar claimed the overall title by nearly ten minutes, adding six stage victories along the way.

Pogacar attacked with 66.6 km to go and rode alone to the finish, winning by 1:28 on a brutal course only 30 of 165 starters completed — the longest solo win in the race's modern history.

Pogacar soloed from 36 km out to claim a fifth straight Il Lombardia, becoming the first rider to win any Monument five years running, and the first to podium all five in one season.

Just 30 km from the line, a crash threatened his day. Pogacar recovered to win Milan-San Remo, adding a fourth different Monument after four straight top-five finishes at the race.

Pogacar took his third Ronde title and extended a run of four consecutive Monuments across Liège, Lombardia, San Remo and Flanders, a sequence no rider had achieved before.

Pogacar soloed to victory atop Alpe d'Huez in Stage 19 of the 2026 Tour, climbing the 13.8 km ascent in 35:27 to break Pantani's 1995 record. It was his 5th stage win, extending his lead to 7:11 over Evenepoel.
