About Keely

Keely Hodgkinson is a British middle-distance runner who has been one of the world's dominant 800m racers since her teens, breaking Kelly Holmes' British record with Olympic silver at 19. She won Olympic gold in Paris in 2024 — Britain's first women's 800m Olympic title since 2004 — after two runner-up finishes at World Championships. In March 2026 she claimed her first global title, World Indoor gold in Torun, despite a season disrupted by injury.
