About Kareem

Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, born Ferdinand Lewis Alcindor Jr., is a retired American professional basketball player widely considered one of the greatest of all time. Playing center for the Milwaukee Bucks and Los Angeles Lakers, he won six NBA championships and a record six MVP awards across a 20-year career. He was the NBA's all-time leading scorer for 34 years until LeBron James surpassed his total in 2023. His signature "skyhook" shot remains one of the most iconic and effective moves in basketball history. He boycotted the 1968 Olympics as a political protest and never played international basketball.
