On 21 June, Yaroslav and Vsevolod Ossolodkov of the United States took the men's pair all-around at the FIG Acrobatic Gymnastics World Cup in Poland. The brothers scored 29.190 to win gold, ahead of the independent neutral athlete pair in second on 28.830 and a Ukrainian pair in third on 27.710. With the final routine graded, the wider prize was theirs.
The margin was narrow. Three-tenths of a point separated first from second, the kind of gap that turns on a held balance and a clean landing rather than a single set piece. The Ossolodkovs answered under that pressure. It was their fourth World Cup appearance of the season, and it brought a fourth all-around title. Rzeszow carried a further weight: as the closing event of the series, it was the last chance for pairs to bank ranking points. Win here, and the season's argument ended.
The series decided
They won it. The result clinched the 2026 World Cup Series gold medal, the second time a United States men's pair has done so, after Angel Felix and Braiden McDougall won their title three years ago at the same competition. The 2026 circuit had run from Maia in March through Puurs-Sint-Amands, Burgas and Baku before reaching Poland. The brothers had gathered points across it, one podium at a time.
Burgas had shown the pattern earlier. There the pair secured the combined title with a 28.740 ahead of two Russian pairs, a third World Cup gold in as many competitions on the year. The consistency, rather than any single score, built the series lead. Rzeszow confirmed it.
A short trajectory
The rise has been quick. In 2025 the pair were World Junior champions, and they made their mark in the senior ranks as they moved up a level. A junior title is one thing; a senior World Cup Series crown, won over a full season against the best pairs in the discipline, is another. The Ossolodkovs made the step in a single year.
The calendar now turns. The World Championships fall in September in Pesaro, Italy, the season's true summit, and the brothers arrive as the series champions. That is the context they carry into Italy. For now, the season belongs to them.
