Wongkhamchan Wins Two Teqball Golds in a Single Day

On a single Sunday in Nagoya, Suphawadi Wongkhamchan took hold of a sport making its continental debut and did not let go.

First gold, straight sets against the hosts

The mixed doubles final paired Wongkhamchan and Phakpong Dejaroen — the 2025 world championship runners-up — against Japan's Yuina Sakamoto and Akinori Wase. When the hosts pushed back in the second, they held firm to close it 12–5 and deliver Thailand's first medal of any colour at the Games.

A second final and a clean sweep

Later the same day, Wongkhamchan returned with Jutatip Kuntatong to face Myanmar's Hsu Mon Aung and Phyu Phyu Than in the women's doubles decider. The contest ended 12–6, 12–3.

Wongkhamchan and Dejaroen arrived in Japan as world finalists. They left as the pair who wrote the opening chapter of teqball's continental history, and Thailand's entire opening-day gold tally came from one curved table.

No debut plays out that way twice.
