Harry Kane became the fastest player in Bundesliga history to reach 100 goals, needing only 98 matches to shatter a mark that had stood for nearly half a century.

A penalty, then the record book falls

The moment arrived in the 39th minute of Bayern Munich's 7-0 win over Union Berlin at the Allianz Arena. Michael Olise was fouled inside the box by Tom Rothe, and Kane stepped up, sending goalkeeper Frederik Ronnow the wrong way from the spot.

Jamal Musiala had already opened the scoring in the 18th minute. Kane struck again in the 54th, heading in an Olise cross for goal number 101.

Thirty-one matches faster than a legend

Kane beat that figure by 31 matches, rewriting the pace at which goals are expected in Germany's top flight.

Since joining Bayern in 2023, he has scored once every 78.3 minutes in the Bundesliga — a rate sharper than Erling Haaland, Robert Lewandowski and Gerd Müller. His overall tally stands at 152 goals in 154 appearances, with three consecutive Torjägerkanone trophies already won.

"Very proud, to be honest, to reach 100 goals in the Bundesliga," Kane told reporters. "Now to have it in a different league is something I'm really proud of."

The seven-goal display also featured Olise's first Bayern hat-trick and moved the side to the top of the table. For Kane, a quiet milestone in a loud scoreline closed another chapter in a career still gaining speed.
