Global Esports overturned a two-map deficit to defeat Nongshim RedForce 3-2 and win VCT Pacific Stage 2 in Busan, becoming the first Indian-founded organisation to claim a VCT regional title.
A final that started with a nightmare
The grand final at the Riot Games Arena opened on Nongshim's terms. The Korean side edged Sunset 13-11 after trailing 7-5, with Ivy and Dambi both posting 20 kills. On Global Esports' own pick of Split, Nongshim raced to a 10-2 lead and closed 13-2, with Francis delivering a series-high ACS of 390.
Abyss becomes the turning point
Down 0-2 and facing elimination, Global Esports found their footing on Abyss. They built an early 6-2 lead, weathered a Nongshim rally to 7-5 at the half, and executed clean attacks under coach Platoon's timeouts to win 13-10 and stay alive.
The momentum swung decisively on Lotus, where Global Esports surged to an 11-1 first half behind a Skye-Tejo setup enabling UdoTan's Waylay. They levelled the series 2-2 with a 13-5 win, IGL Xavi8k leading with 21 frags and a 308 ACS.
A decider decided by composure
On Haven, Global Esports deployed a bold Neon/Waylay/KJ composition they had used to beat T1 earlier. The score see-sawed from 3-1 to 6-3, then 6-6 at the half, before Global Esports pushed to 11-7.
Nongshim clawed back three straight rounds to pull within one at 11-10. A broken Global Esports buy seemed set to hand over the equaliser, but sheriff shots across the map delivered match point, and the next round closed it 13-10.
A season of firsts crowned in Busan
This was the first VCT Pacific trophy for the franchise and the first regional title for all five players, with IGL Xavi8k lifting it in his debut season. UdoTan was named Grand Final MVP, earning a custom Pulsar gaming mouse set with 3.2 carats of diamonds.
Global Esports will enter VALORANT Champions Shanghai as Pacific's number one seed.
