Coello and Tapia Win Fourth Straight Paris Major

Arturo Coello and Agustín Tapia claimed a fourth straight Paris Major title at Roland Garros, recovering from a 0–3 deciding-set deficit to overcome Alejandro Galán and Federico Chingotto in the 2026 Premier Padel final.

The match brought the world’s two top-ranked pairs back to Court Philippe Chatrier. Galán and Chingotto, their closest challengers all season, had built what looked like a decisive advantage early in the third set.

Coello and Tapia did not rush. They worked lobs and precise shots through the middle court, the same tools that had served them in every prior meeting on this stage, and slowly dragged the momentum back into familiar hands.

The achievement extended a sequence that had already been called a legendary accomplishment after the three-peat. Coello and Tapia first reached world No. 1 in 2023 and repeated the feat in 2024, cementing a partnership many regard as the strongest the game has seen.

Coello, aged 24 and born in Mojados, Spain, won his earliest professional titles alongside Fernando Belasteguín in 2022 before joining forces with Tapia. The Paris crown marked their ninth trophy of a season in which their rivals lifted four.

The final image — the two of them standing once more on the clay of Roland Garros with another trophy — matched every previous edition. Only the effort required to get there had changed.
