Chantelle Cameron became a two-weight world champion on Saturday night, outpointing Mikaela Mayer by unanimous decision to claim the WBA, WBC and WBO super-welterweight titles in Birmingham.

The victory lifts Cameron's record to 23-1 with eight knockouts. It marks her fourth straight win since losing a majority decision to Katie Taylor in their 2023 rematch.

Cameron remains the only fighter to defeat Taylor as a professional, having taken a majority decision over the Irish icon in May 2023. That piece of history, combined with a second world title at a higher weight, cements a legacy that stands apart.

"I just wanted to play with her," Cameron told reporters afterwards, calling for a rematch under three-minute rounds rather than the customary two. The division's landscape now bends towards her, and a quiet queue of challengers awaits.
