Lindsey Vonn is the most successful American alpine ski racer in history, with 84 World Cup wins, four overall titles and 16 discipline titles. She won Olympic downhill gold in 2010 and both speed titles at the 2009 World Championships. She retired in 2019 after a career shaped by knee injuries, returned in 2024 following a partial knee replacement, and at 41 became the oldest World Cup winner in alpine skiing.
