Barry Bonds is an American former professional baseball player who spent 22 seasons with the Pittsburgh Pirates and San Francisco Giants, retiring in 2007 as MLB's all-time leader in home runs (762) and single-season home runs (73, set in 2001). A record seven-time NL MVP, he is the only member of the 500 home run/500 stolen base club. His later career was shadowed by the BALCO steroids investigation; he was never convicted of a steroid-related crime, and MLB has not vacated any of his records.
