About Annika

Annika Sorenstam is a retired Swedish professional golfer widely regarded as the greatest female golfer of her generation. Over her LPGA career she won 72 tournaments, including 10 major championships, and became the first woman to shoot a 59 in competitive professional golf, in 2001. She topped the inaugural Women's World Golf Rankings in 2006 and spent 61 total weeks at No. 1. Inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame in 2003 while still active, she retired in 2008.
