Kreischberg gave Anna Gasser the moment it had waited for. On 11 January 2025, the Austrian rode to the top of the jump, dropped in and rotated three times off-axis — a triple cork, the first landed by a woman in competition. She rode it out clean. The score held. The home crowd had its win.
The night it was decided
The victory was Gasser's tenth big air World Cup title, a record, and it came in front of her own supporters.

pushed hard behind her. The final was settled not by consistency alone but by ambition. Gasser brought the trick no other woman had risked in a contest, and the judges rewarded the difficulty and the landing together.
The margin was written into the run itself. Where rivals stacked known rotations, Gasser reached for the triple — three inverted rotations demanding exact timing on take-off and a still head through the spin. She committed on the jump that mattered and held the exit. In doing so she also became the oldest winner in FIS Snowboard Park & Pipe World Cup history, a note that says more about longevity than age.
The line that led here
This was not a sudden leap. It was the next step on a long ladder. Gasser built her career on being first. In 2013 she became the first female snowboarder to land a cab double cork 900 on a kicker, opening the era of women's double-cork progression. She won Olympic gold in the inaugural women's big air at PyeongChang 2018, landing her signature cab double cork 1080 on the final jump to take the first Olympic women's big air title. In 2019 she became the first woman to land a cab double cork 1260, three-and-a-half rotations, stomping it on her first attempt after returning from injury.
The wins kept their pattern. She defended her Olympic title at Beijing 2022 with a cab double cork 1260 on her last run, the only woman to win Olympic big air gold twice. She took a second world title in Bakuriani in 2023 in difficult conditions. Kreischberg extended that arc into new territory: the triple cork moved from private film shoots into the arena, where it counts.
Twelve days later the momentum carried on. Gasser became the most decorated woman in X Games big air history, taking her fifth X Games gold overall at Aspen with a switch/cab triple cork 1260. Kreischberg had set the tone.
She has spent a decade doing what had not been done. On home snow, she did it again.
